What jewelry should I get? 🤔

We have 4 basic groups of jewelry we pierce with! They are…

Stud/Barbell

These are straight pierces of jewelry mostly used in ear/cartilage piercings, can be used in facial piercings too! Options include internally threaded, externally threaded and threadless jewelry!

Curved Barbel

Used for surface piercings that are included but not limited to eyebrows, naval and some oral/ear piercings. Options include internally threaded, externally threaded and threadless jewelry!

Hoop

Usually used for fully healed piercings, however we initially pierced septums and daiths with hoops. Options include bendable hoops, seamless hoops and captive dead rings.

Clickers

Decorative pieces of jewelry either straight or curved but are meant for the look of a hoop!

Still confused? Here’s 3 more descriptors of jewelry you can get and we’ll explain it!

INTERNALLY THREADED

This is a very common titanium jewelry style, in which a top, a ball, stone or any top that has threading that is screwed into the base. This is very common for initial piercings!

EXTERNALLY THREADED

This jewelry has the threading on the base of the jewelry that the ball, stone and tops thread onto. It is less common than internally threaded piercings, but it is still used as such.

THREADLESS JEWELRY

The balls, stones and tops of the jewelry are slightly bent and inserted into the post and held there by pressure. It is easy to change and can be used for initial piercings. Most gold piercings tops are threadless!
